ZLATIBOR (Kljun 1027 m)
The beginning of this interesting trail is in the village of Dobroselica, near the wooden church dedicated to the Holy Prophet Elijah, from the 19th century. But first, you must visit stone bridge at Dobroselica, 1 km away.
It takes 3 hours (240 km) by car, from Belgrade to Dobroselica. The hiking trail is 11-12 km long, with 500 m of ascent. It starts at the church of St. Elijah and ends at Dubrava monastery. It’s amazing how colorful the trail is. Forests, canyons, meadows, rocky fields, streams, breathtaking viewpoints… Wonderful! The first 2 km of the trail is asphalt, to the village cemetery and signpost to the peak Vis (1007 m). But first, you can climb to the top of Ocikalj (847 m).
Ocikalj
A forest path starts from this board. The trail is marked well. It immediately descends into the stream Recice.
Then the ascent towards the peak of Vis begins. It takes about 2 km of walk, from the turn onto the forest path, to the top of Vis. The last part of the ascent has beautiful viewpoints at river Uvac.
Vis
The distance between Vis and Kljun is about 4 km. The path from Vis leads to a large meadow, with 360 degrees view. Then you enter the forest, and the goat path, then the rocky road. First, you pass over the Griza stream. At the end, you come out onto the main macadam road which leads to the Dubrava monastery. Some 200 m, next to the road, is the peak Kljun (1027 m).
Kljun
From Kljun is an excellent view at Dubrava monastery, in the valley below. Distance between Kljun and Dubrava is 2.5 km, by the asphalt road. Dubrava monastery dates back to the 13th century. It is dedicated to St. Panteleimon.
Monastery Dubrava
That’s the end. Truly unusual tour. Pictures cannot evoke all the beauty of this wild part of Zlatibor. Beautiful!
