SOUTHERN KUCAJ (Gospodarev kamen 541 m)

Lord’s Stone (Gospodarev kamen) is an interesting rock formation from which, according to tradition, Serbian despot Stefan Lazarevic watched his army. It is located in the area of Southern Kucaj, close to the monastery Manasija (15th century), where the despot Stefan is buried.

The start of this easy tour is in the village of Lipovica, 150 km from Belgrade (2.5 hours by car). Drive along the highway Belgrade – Niš, and via Svilajnac and Despotovac, and you will reach the starting point. The trail is 3 km long. It takes about 45 minutes of easy walk to the Lord’s stone. Lipovica is located at about 400 meters a.s.l. In the village, turn in the direction of the sign:

Drive for the next 500 m, to the end of the asphalt. There is macadam, and a sign that directs you to the Lord’s stone.

The markings are blue-white, and points in the right direction.

Pay attention at this point:

If you look carefully, you will see a blue-white mark on the right side, on a thin piece of wood. There you must turn right, and very quickly you will come to the magnificent Lord’s stone.

Lord’s stone is a nice place to enjoy, with a view of the vast expanses of Southern Kucaj, which is the most uninhabited area in Serbia!
