STOLOVI (Usovica 1375 m)

Mountain Stolovi is located near the city of Kraljevo, on the way to Vrnjacka Banja. Distance between Belgrade and Kraljevo is 180 km, if you are traveling by Ibar highway. From Kraljevo, you must drive in the direction of Vrnjacka Banja and turn right, towards the village of Brezna, which is located some 20 km from Kraljevo. The final destination is a mountain lodge “Zorica Gizdavic”, at Brezna. Lodge is at 680 m a.s.l. From this lodge, there is a marked path to the highest peak, Usovica (1375 m).

Stolovi are one of the rare mountains where you can meet wild horses. You can approach them quite close, but I do not recommend it, unless you are with a large group. If they feel endangered, the leader of the herd would step forward and warn you, by waving with mane and hooves. In this case, go slightly around them and continue to the top.

Below the top is a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and valleys.

There is a transmitter, at the top, and below it, you can see mountain Troglav, with its peaks.

It takes about 10 km to the top, or about 2.5 hours of walk and 700 m of height difference. 

Usovica is one of the tops where you can feel the width of the space and breathe nature and smell the sense of freedom, when you look at this beautiful horses.
