GOC (Ljukten 1216 m)

Goc rises above the town of Vrnjacka Banja. It is unusually beautiful and full of conifers. The highest peak is Ljukten (1216 m).

Distance between Belgrade and Vrnjacka Banja is about 200 km (2.5 hours of drive) + another half an hour (15 km) to lake Seliste, the starting point of the ascent to Ljukten. The lake is located at 950 m a.s.l.

The best way to climb Ljukten is to follow the asphalt road that goes uphill, behind the lake. At the end of the asphalt, macadam begins. From there, it takes about 2 km (1 hour of walk) to the top. The trail is not marked, but that is not a problem, because Ljukten is clearly visible and in front of you. A visible trail will take you straight to the top.

The view from the top is impressive! You can see mountains Zeljin, Stolovi, fortress Koznik, Kopaonik… Beautiful!

From Ljukten, hike to the peak of Mali Ljukten (5 min.). The view is also impressive!

This tour is quite easy. You can pass 10-12 km in 4 hours. Which leaves you enough time to enjoy the beautiful views from the top of Goc.
