TOMETINO POLJE (Vlasic 716 m)

Tometino polje is a place of unreal beauty, totally different from the neighboring Divcibare mountain. The whole area is covered with a low, yellow grass. It reminds me of a prairie from the spaghetti western movies. Only cowboys and Indians are missing!

Tometino polje is exactly 125 km (2.5 hours by car) far from Belgrade. The road leads by the Ibar highway, Lajkovac, Mionica and Divcibare mountain. At Divcibare, turn toward Tometino polje and Pozega. After you enter Tometino polje, at this place, turn left:

When you come to the bridge, do not cross it, turn right, in the direction of red signs:

After 1 km, you will come to the end of the asphalt road. This is also the beginning of the track, which is well marked.

The first peak you will reach is Golo Brdo (710 m). You will easily recognize it. It will be on your right. From the beginning of the path, to Golo brdo, it takes about half an hour.

Follow the markings and, in one hour, you will reach the viewpoint Klik. This is the most impressive and most memorable spot at this trail.

From viewpoint Klik is a great view at the meanders of the Kamenica river and the “Eagles nest” ranch, located on the river. Opposite of Klik is the highest peak of this region, Vlasic (716 m).

From Klik, the markings leads you to the river Kamenica. At the river, the marking point to the left, but we went right and crossed the river. There is no marking at this place, but that’s not a problem. The terrain is clear and it is not difficult to reach Vlasic. We climb the ridge and, in an hour, we reach the top. Vlasic dominates the area and it’s not a problem to reach it.

We came back with unmarked, circular path. But, you go back by the same, marked path.

We crossed 14-15 km (about 6 hours of hiking). The beauty of Tometino polje filled my soul. At this place, you can find rivers, forests, hills and valleys, pastures and meadows … Everything in the golden-green color! And eagles, which reminds you that you are really free only when you are in the nature.
