MALI KRS (Garvan 929 m) i KUNUNA

Mali Krs is located after Veliki Krs, not so close, but neither not too far. You can climb this mountain in about 3 hours, if you start from the end of the ridge of Veliki Krs.

We started our climb from completely different side, from the village Veliko Vlaole. This village can be reached via Pozarevac, Kucevo, Degeli Lug and Leskovo. It is approximately 4 hours of drive from Belgrade. Starting point is the railway station.

Right at the start, you will see Veliki Krs.    

Soon you will see Mali Krs (the second hill on the photo).

After two hours of walking, you will come to a plateau just below the top. There is a great view at Borski Stol and Veliki Krs.

 

Couple more minutes and you will arrive at Garvan. The top is covered with dense vegetation, but you can see something through it.

From Garvan, we went down to the ridge Kununa. From Kununa you can also see Veliki Krs and Borski Stol. On the left side of the ridge, you will see mountain Starica (Old woman), above the town of Majdanpek.

  

From Mali Krs, you are heading toward Veliki Krs.

I think it’s easier to climb Garvan if you start from the end of the ridge of Veliki Krs. In that case, it takes about 3 hours to the summit. When you approach Mali Krs from the direction of Veliki Krs, follow the trail that leads to the RIGHT!

So, ignore the path on the left side of Mali Krs!

This is quite interesting tour, it is a pity that the trail is not marked, but I think it is not a problem to find the right way, if you hike from Veliki Krs.
