MRTVICA CANYON
Mrtvica is one of the most beautiful canyons of former Yugoslavia. Hidden beneath the mountain Maganik, it is a real treasure of untouched nature. It is located 30 km from Kolasin, in the village Medjurjecje. When you pass Kolasin and monastery Moraca, look for the sign, on the right side of the road, which points to the canyon of Mrtvica. Drive down by the small, paved road, for a hundred meters, and you will see a steel bridge, where you can park your car. There is a panel with a sign.

The trail goes to the left, toward the junction of rivers Mrtvica and Moraca. Do not go down, to the junction; follow the path which turns right and goes above the river Mrtvica.

Finally – the famous Beams of Mrtvica! Beams of Mrtvica is a path, that general Danilo Jaukovic broke through the rock, in 1973, to connect villages Mrtvo Duboko and Velje Duboko. Truly an impressive sight!
