MALJEN-DIVCIBARE (Ljuti krs 962 m, Strazara 1061 m)

Divcibare is a famous touristic place which is located about 30 km from the city of Valjevo. Divcibare is part of mountain Maljen. Actually, Divcibare is a plateau which is located at 980 meters a.s.l.

Distance between Belgrade and Divcibare is about 125 km. You must drive by the Ibar highway and then turn toward Valjevo. From the main road which leads to Valjevo, turn left toward Mionica. Then follow the signs to Divcibare, which is 20 km away from Mionica.

Ljuti krs is probably the most attractive peak of Divcibare. It is the only Divcibare peak that is rocky.

When you are approaching Divcibare, from the direction of Mionica, on the right side you will see a white signpost  “Ljuti krs”. Ignore that sign, it is wrong turn! The trail begins 500 meters further, on the right side of the settlement “Ljuti krs.” Path begins across this abandon gas station:

The trail is clearly marked. It takes about 25 minutes of easy walk to this unusual summit. First you will pass the crossroad of paths for Ljuti krs and peak Strazara. Shortly after this junction, reservation of Black river begins.

Ljuti krs can not be seen from any of Divcibare peaks. It is fully indrawn and hidden among the hills of Maljen. The view is quite impressive! In the distance, you can see mountains Magles, Jablanik and Medvednik. Below Ljuti krs, a lower hill lies, from which you can go down, in a curly canyon of Black river.

From the junction of paths for Ljuti krs and Strazara, it takes 15 minutes to the Strazara peak.

Path to Ljuti krs is the easiest trail at Divcibare. Difficulty of trail is inversely proportional to the experience from the top, which is unique at the whole mountain of Maljen!
