POVLEN (Veliki 1271 m, Srednji 1301 m, Mali 1347 m)
Povlen, with its three peaks, is a real delicacy for mountaineers. Strangely, the highest peak is called Mali (Little), and the smallest Veliki (Large) Povlen. Povlen can be reached by Ibarska highway, through Valjevo and then you must drive for another 30 km, to the saddle called Debelo Brdo. Follow the signs for Bajina Basta. On the way to Debelo Brdo, you have to pass the dam Rovni and the village of Pocuta. Some 7 km from Valjevo, is a monastery Jovanje.
At Debelo Brdo, you will see a board and a monument of Zivan Djurdjevic, a communist killed by the Chetniks, in the Second World War. Chetniks roasted him alive. Left of the the monument, a marked path to Povlen begins.

At the beginning of the track, there are a couple of houses, where you can buy a great cheese. After 45 minutes, you will reach the mountain lodge. All the time, Veliki Povlen is in front of your eyes.
