VELIKI KRS (1148 m)

Veliki krs is located 10 km from the town of Bor, on the road Bor-Gornjane. From Belgrade to Bor, you must drive through Pozarevac and Petrovac. This trip is about 240 km long. From Bor, continue to the village of Krivelj. Veliki krs is located on the road Krivelj-Gornjane. You will pass near the mines of Bor.

Follow the signpost for the village Bucje. You will come to the intersection called Cepi (730 m). From this crossroad, left path leads to Veliki krs; right one goes to Borski Stol (1155 m). It is the only intersection on that road, you can not miss it. Veliki krs is clearly visible from the intersection.

Marked path leads through the woods, but first you must go by the macadam road. Pay attention to the markings on the tree, where you must turn into the forest. It is easy to miss it; so, be careful. When you enter into the woods, you will have to go up, to the ridge.

After an hour and a half of hike, you will reach the ridge of Veliki krs. From the ridge is a beautiful view at mountain Borski Stol. It looks like this ridge is easy to cross, but do not try it, there are many ascents and descents. You will need approximately 7 hours to cross it!

Descent is much easier and also offers beautiful landscapes.

It is possible to climb Borski Stol, in the same day, which is located across Veliki krs.
